When we think of southern hospitality and a genteel way of life, both Charleston and Savannah are usually at the top of the list. On this Savannah & Charleston guided vacation, you’ll spend quality time in both cities with allocated time for touring and adequate time on you own to explore and shop. Plantations and the ambiance of these cities will fill your days with beauty as you wander through historic and legendary places. Ride the nature train through the swamps of the fabulous Magnolia Gardens where you are surrounded by magnolia trees and azaleas!
You will visit both St. Simon and Jekyll Islands and tour the luxurious homes of millionaires. Part of your stay will be in the former playground of the rich and famous, the Jekyll Island Club – a true gem of the old South. Period homes will encourage you to develop your southern drawl and a splendid carriage ride takes you back in time. These southern cities have much to offer and we ‘ll guide you to some of the finest attractions on this fun-filled, in depth itinerary.
I have been traveling with Interlude Tours on their escorted tours for several years, and I have never been disappointed. The trips are always well-planned, reasonable, and beyond expectations. If I were to choose the best it would be the day trips to shows in Chicago, USA adventures to San Antonio and New Orleans, or travels abroad it would be difficult to narrow down to one. Ireland, Nicaragua, a cruise down the Danube and an upcoming Alpine village tour are among my favorites. The Carr’s are accommodating and fun to have among our fellow travelers. I especially like the limo pickup and delivery to the airport. This is a great perk. As you can tell, I am a fan of Interlude Tours.
