Enjoy a whirlwind adventure as we venture into the many faces of Georgia. If you’re a movie buff, you will simply devour the home of Gone With the Wind – the “Road to Tara “Museum. Here you’ll find everything and more Gone With the Wind, including memorabilia, original props, costumes, and artifacts. Frankly Scarlett…
If news and politics are more to your liking, you’ll visit the CNN Studios and tour Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthplace and gravesite and nearby Warm Springs, home to FDR’s Little White House and thermal baths. Also, included is a tour of the Georgia State Capitol Building plus the Governor’s Mansion plus a visit to the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library.
If sports is your passion, this Interlude includes that as well. On this visit to the Peach state, there’ll be history, museums, mansions and gardens, along with great food and you will be staying in a great midtown hotel – it’s got it all.
Of course, what trip to the deep south would be complete without paying homage to the Civil War? You will be awed by the painting of the Battle of Atlanta, a 360-degree Cyclorama and also by the impressive Confederate Memorial bas relief carved into the granite of the mountains.
Georgia will most definitely be on your mind as you check out the complete itinerary and plan to join us.
