This Interlude is filled with wonderful adventure starting from the very first day when you visit the Chihuly Garden and Glass.  The exhibition includes eight galleries and three Drawing Walls offering one of the most comprehensive collections of Northwest native, Dale Chihuly’s incredible work.   Here you will discover the master of blown glass and see how his work pushed the boundaries of glass as an art medium in concept, execution and presentation. In the gallery you will witness some of his magnificent chandeliers – complex and three-dimensional – creating colored elements in an absolutely stunning installation.  His Persian Ceiling is truly exquisite.

Rarely do we get an opportunity to view the work of a true Master.  Chihuly is internationally recognized as the premier developer of glass as a fine art.  His exhibits are treasured around the world, and showcased in extraordinary exhibits.  A native of Washington, Mr. Chihuly is a true legend in his own time. On this sojourn’s beginning you are enmeshed in the visually stunning works of a true genius.  Using the existing building for the Exhibit Hall and adding garden space, he designed a glass house as the centerpiece for this project.  Mr. Chihuly himself chose the specific artworks from his career to place in the Hall and then envisioned and created the new and lavish sculptures.

Want a preview?  The magnificent ceiling at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas will have you wanting more. Closer to home you can find Chihuly’s work at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis as his Fireworks of Glass, a permanent exhibit. But nowhere is his work more artfully displayed than in the Garden and Glass.

A recent review from TripAdvisor:

If you are in Seattle for even a very short visit, this museum is a must to see! I am a true arts admirer and supporter, and I have visited most of the world famous fine arts museums. So, there is not too much left out there to truly amaze me. And Chihuly’s museum truly did!!! You will not find anything like it anywhere else in the world, as his ethereal glass creations seem like they are weightless, timeless, and made out of air. A true delight!!!  Visited August 2014
