This brand-new tour has been designed to put you in the Christmas spirit before all the traditional hoopla begins. Our coach trip takes us to the heart of Louisville, St. James Court, to a mansion at the center of the largest collection of Victorian Homes. Once inside we will be treated to a docent led tour of the incredible Conrad/Caldwell Castle (home museum) garbed in full-Christmas décor. There will be lots to talk about after the tour, when we are led into the beautifully bedecked Victorian Hall for a memorable high tea.
Then it’s off to the Frazier History Museum where we are led into the magical world of The Nutcracker. Enjoy a visual and scenic walk through some of the most tantalizing sets and fabulous costumes from the many productions of this Christmas classic. And yes, there is a gift shop… And there is MORE!
And the next day… it’s off to Christkindlmarkt in Ferdinand, where you basically step into a Bavarian festival- like setting where Christmas gifts and beautifully crafted wares are sold. With over 200 extraordinary booths and six locations, you are sure to find that very special gift or two or just enjoy the sights and sounds. There’s art, antiques, wine, handmade treasures, tours and really scrumptious German food – a truly unique experience.

Day 2: Ferdinand, IN / Indianapolis
Enjoy the delights of Christmas in the charming Bavarian village of Ferdinand, when we spend the day at Christkindlmarkt. This treasured annual event pays homage to the centuries old custom that began in Germany and features over 200 lavishly decorated booths that literally spill over with quality hand-created items, Christmas wares, antiques, art and delicious regional food and wine. Shop early-your gifts will be handmade treasures, unique and original; tour the majestic Monestary Immaculate Conception. Ferdinand’s Christkindlmarkt is one of the most authentic in the United States and has recently been voted one of the Top 100 Events in the Nation by the American Bus Association. Markt sites are located indoors throughout town and free shuttle service is available between the market sites, making getting around super easy and we’ll provide a handy brochure that will keep you headed in the right direction.
