Every spring Virginia’s gardens and roadways blossom in a riot of flowering bulbs, dogwood, redbud, azalea, and a multitude of other flowering trees and plants that are unparalleled. Amidst the splendor of all of this beauty is a proud history that helped define and shape the America we know today.

From the first permanent English settlement at Jamestown to the awesome modern Atlantic Fleet at Norfolk Naval Station you’ll take a fun trip through time. Visit the colonial palace of Virginia’s royal governors. Stroll through some of the most beautiful homes and gardens in the state. See the International Azalea Parade and International Tattoo from reserved seats. Experience the Civil War. Tour museums and attractions; visit Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson.

Stop at Yorktown where American victory over the British was hard fought. When you stand in the library at Montpelier, you are standing in the room where James Madison thought about, agonized to make sure it was just and fair, and drafted the Constitution of The United States! This and so much more are included in Virginia’s Spring Kaleidoscope.
