TRAVEL ITINERARY

Day 1: Indianapolis / Palm Springs, CA
Arrive at Palm Springs OR Ontario Airport and transfer to the Palm Mountain Resort, located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. A welcome dinner is included this evening. Palm Mountain Resort, Palm Springs, CA (D)

Day 2: Palm Springs Touring
The theme for today will be Desert Design and Mid-Century Modern Architecture. A narrated Art Walk on El Paso in Palm Desert will include Art Gallery visits and will conclude at the Gardens Shopping Mall. This afternoon, enjoy a Mid-Century Modern Architecture Tour featuring buildings reflecting the style of the 1950’s and 1960’s, plus the earlier construction that led to the development of the Palm Springs desert design. Learn how architects utilized construction techniques and materials to create an elegant yet informal style that bridged the contrast between the indoors and the outdoors. Day 3: Palms Springs Touring
Today discover the desert heritage and private artist’s studios. Begin with a tour of the Cabot Museum, a Hopi inspired Pueblo that is a unique treasure to the Coachella Valley, located in the heart of Desert Hot Springs. Then visit private artists’ studios highlighting collage with mixed media, rock sculpture, stained glass, oils and watercolors. Palm Mountain Resort, Palm Springs, CA (B)

Day 4: Palm Spring Touring
This morning is at leisure to discover the charm of downtown Palm Springs. A matinee performance of the Fabulous Palm Springs Follies is included, followed by a self-guided tour of the Palm Springs Art Museum. This evening, enjoy VillageFest in downtown Palm Springs. Every Thursday evening, Downtown Palm Springs transforms into a diverse array of artists, artisans, entertainers, and purveyors of fresh fruits and veggies, flowers, jewelry, snacks and sweets. Add all that to the great shops, restaurants, clubs, and entertainment venues located along World Famous Palm Canyon Drive - and the result is one of Southern California's most popular weekly events: VillageFest. Day 5: Palm Springs / Indianapolis, IN
This morning, delight in the spectacular views from the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway before being transferred to the airport to fly home. (B)
