Welcome to "Red Rock Country"! Visit the two most beautiful locations that characterize the old west, Sedona and Prescott, Arizona. Located in Arizona's high desert you will find the colorful and breathtaking Sedona. Characterized by massive red-rock formations, as well as the contrasting riparian areas of the stunning Oak Creek Canyon. The area surrounding this beloved community is considered as beautiful as many of the west's national parks. Many of the old western cowboy movies were filmed here.

While in Arizona’s Central Mountains, amid the largest stand of ponderosa pines in the world, you will find Prescott, rich with culture, containing nearly 800 buildings in the National Register of Historic Places, including many beautifully restored Victorian-era homes and bungalows. Its granite courthouse set among green lawns and spreading trees re-connects the Midwestern and New England background of Prescott’s early pioneers.

TRAVEL ITINERARY

Day 1: Indianapolis / Phoenix / Wickenburg / Prescott
Arrive in Phoenix, Arizona’s largest city. Board our private motorcoach and drive through the Valley of the Sun to the old western town of Wickenburg. Enjoy an included buffet lunch at a historic dude ranch resort prior to your visit to the fabulous Desert Caballeros Western Museum. Continue on to Prescott and our downtown hotel for 2 nights. Tonight, we meet for your Get Acquainted Dinner at the hotel. Hassayampa Inn (L, D)

Day 2: Prescott / Free Time
Our local guide will show us this wonderful historic western town. Tour the old Opera House, Sharlot Hall Living Museum, the old territorial capital, and the old Governor’s Mansion. It’s like going in a time machine back to the 1860’s. Free time this afternoon to shop or visit one of the many great art museums here. Tonight enjoy another included dinner at a fine local restaurant. Hassayampa Inn (B, D)

Day 3: Prescott / Oak Creek Canyon / Flagstaff / Sedona
Motor through the high desert, past cactus and sage, to nearby Sedona, a magical place of red rocks & scenic vistas. Enjoy shopping time and lunch on own at the Tlaquepaque Mexican style shopping plaza. This afternoon, visit famed Oak Creek Canyon scenic drive up to Flagstaff, with a return to Sedona. Check into our downtown, all balcony view room hotel with spectacular views of the Red Rocks. Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Orchards Inn (B, D)

Day 4: Sedona / Free Time
Enjoy a morning guided sightseeing tour including the Chapel of the Holy Cross, Bell Rock, Cathedral Rocks, and the beautiful residential sections of town. Pause in uptown for lunch on own. Then board your special charter Pink Jeeps for a scenic rim guided tour of Sedona’s “off the beaten path” roads with incredible vistas and views of the many “peculiar” shaped red rocks. Return to your hotel and relax with free time prior to your Farewell Dinner at another fine local restaurant. Orchards Inn (B, D)

Day 5: Sedona / Phoenix
Drive south to Montezuma’s Castle National Monument, a magnificent reconstructed 600 year old Indian cliff dwelling. Arrive back in Phoenix for lunch on own and check-in to your airport hotel. Hilton Garden Inn or similar. (B)

Day 6: Phoenix / Indianapolis
Morning flight home (CB)
