TRAVEL ITINERARY
Day One: Indianapolis / Lincolnshire
Travel by motorcoach to Chicagoland’s Lake County. Enjoy lunch on
your own before your tour of the private Sanfilippo Estate where you’ll
view and learn about the Sanfilippo Collection of automated music machines,
their history, restoration efforts, as well as the opulent details of the
Residence’s French Second Empire setting. You’ll never forget
the experience of hearing exactly what those at the turn-of-the-century
heard from these beautifully restored music machines. This evening we head
to the Marriott Theatre for dinner and performance of Tony Award winning
“Dream Girls.” Marriott Courtyard, Lincolnshire (CB, D)
Day 2: Geneva / Indianapolis
Seek the unique in Geneva’s Historic Third Street District where distinctive
historic homes have been converted into specialty shops and restaurants.
Be sure to visit The Little Traveler, a stately Victorian home with 36 rooms
filled with antiques, fashions, gourmet foods and gifts from around the
world. Geneva offers affordable and upscale clothing, home décor,
jewelry, antiques, spices, European items, eco-friendly products and more.
The creative arts—quilting, knitting, stitching, beading, scrapbooking
and pottery painting—are also represented. Options abound and make
Geneva one of the best shopping destinations in the Chicagoland area. (B)
