Day 1: Indianapolis - Nashville Travel to the Gaylord Opryland Resort to begin a 3-Night stay and see the resort’s amazing holiday displays and decorations. The resort- hotel complex features three interior gardens under glass roofs including waterfalls, a river and lake system plus a variety of restaurants, lounges and shops. Enjoy and wander among the amazing holiday displays & lights as the resort is a showcase for the holiday season. Tonight enjoy dinner followed by The Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes – the world’s most famous high-kicking dance troupe. (CB, D) Day 2: Nashville Enjoy Opryland at leisure this morning. Enjoy lunch on your own on the Honky Tonk Highway where live music is always on the menu. Take a little journey through entertainment history with your choice of a tour of the historic Ryman Auditorium, the RCA Studio B or the Country Music Hall of Fame. Returning to Opryland, shop “Treasures for the Holidays” or the magical world of ICE! A chilly, one-of-a-kind adventure through a frozen world of larger-than-life ice sculptures all carved from 1.5 million pounds of ice. This evening enjoy the Louise Mandrell “Joy to the World” Christmas Dinner Party. (D) Day 3: Nashville – Franklin This morning, enjoy breakfast at nationally acclaimed Loveless Café where genuine country cooking awaits you. Then travel to historic Franklin, often cited as one of the most beautiful downtowns in the South. Shop unique boutiques or visit Carnton Plantation whose history is spotlighted in the Civil War novel The Widow of the South by Robert Hicks. Returning to Nashville, enjoy leisure time before your elegant Victorian candlelight dinner at Belmont Mansion. The mansion will be dressed as a Victorian fantasyland with hundreds of decorations throughout. (B, D) Day 4: Nashville - Indianapolis Enjoy the holidays at The Hermitage, the mansion of Andrew Jackson and his family. Special Christmas exhibits feature the early decorations of the 1800s. Enjoy a delicious meal in the café and before we travel back to Indianapolis with many warm holiday memories. Traveling back we’ll stop in Louisville where we’ll stop for dinner on your own before we continue traveling home. |
