Day 1: Reno Upon arrival at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport be met by a local step-on guide who will assist with luggage and transfer to the Sands Regency Hotel, your home for the next four nights. A brief city tour will be enjoyed as you travel to your hotel. Check in and have the remainder of the evening at leisure with dinner on your own. Explore the downtown casinos, challenge “Lady Luck” or just relax. Day 2 and 3: Reno A breakfast voucher is included each day of your stay. Enjoy the famous Reno National Championship Air Races & Show for the next two days. Daily shuttle tickets will be included for transfer to the Air Race venue at your leisure. General admission seating and one official race program per room are included. Travel to/from the Races at individual discretion, spending as long as you like enjoying the thrilling events of the day. Pit passes can be included as an option at an additional cost of $105 per person. (B Daily) Day 4: Reno, Carson City, Virginia City After your breakfast meet your local step-on guide for a day of sightseeing. Travel south to Nevada’s capital city, Carson City. Here you will enjoy a driving tour of the historic district to include the Governor’s Mansion, the Krebs-Peterson home (film location of John Wayne’s last movie, The Shootist), the Ferris Home, the Bliss Mansion and much more. Sit back and relax as your guide tells you about the history and characters of the area. Your Carson City tour will end at the Nevada State Museum, formerly the U.S. Mint. Enjoy this first-class exhibit complete with a re-created mine. Travel then continues to historic Virginia City for an afternoon of fun! First, enjoy a guided tour and then have leisure time to explore the many saloons, shops, restaurants and museums; walk along the sidewalks of yesteryear in this former silver/gold rush community. Virginia City is much as it was 140 years ago, except now there are less people living there. Return to Reno and your hotel in the late afternoon. The remainder of the evening will be on your own. (B) Day 5: Reno – Indianapolis Breakfast will again be included before motorcoach transfer to the Reno-Tahoe Airport for your flight home. Take with you the memories of your Reno Air Race Adventure.
