Day 1: Indianapolis – Las Vegas Upon arrival, you will be transferred to The Desert Rose Resort, 1 block off of the STRIP. (Walking distance to MGM and Tropicana.) Your apartment suite features a living room, bedroom, full kitchen, bath and balcony. Later meet your Local Tour Director and the other guests for a delicious dinner at the Resort. After dinner, your Tour Director will take you on a night tour down the world famous STRIP where you may observe an erupting volcano and moving water dance to Italian music on Lake Como. Travel down to The Freemont Street Experience, a unique concept of a sound and light show - Las Vegas style. (D) (Manager’s Reception at the Resort from 5-7 PM) Day 2: Las Vegas Enjoy a full extended continental breakfast this morning. Meet your Local Guide for a get acquainted with the STRIP TOUR from one end to the other with stops along the way. You will have a chance to get supplies for your suite. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure (CB) (Manager’s Reception at the Resort from 5-7 PM) Day 3: Arizona After a full extended continental breakfast this morning, you are in for a treat as your local guide meets you for a trip to Lake Havasu . You will travel through the Mojave Desert and across the Colorado River into the State of Arizona and have the opportunity to walk under or on the world famous London Bridge. Lunch will be included. After lunch and shopping you will take a drive up to Oatman – a fun place to visit. You will see an authentic old western town with burros roaming the streets and gunfights staged on weekends. The burros are tame and can be hand fed. Clark Gable and Carol Lombard honeymooned at the Oatman Hotel March 18, 1939. Their honeymoon suite is still one of the major attractions at the hotel. After your visit here you will travel through Laughlin for a dinner stop and a chance to try your hand at gaming before returning to your hotel. The remainder of the evening is at your leisure. (CB, L) (Manager’s Reception at the Resort from 5-7 PM) Day 4: Las Vegas - Free Day! After a full extended continental breakfast you are free to discover the many hotels, attractions and casinos with non-stop gaming. Check with your Local Tour Director for suggestions. (CB) Day 5: Death Valley Enjoy a full extended continental breakfast this morning before you will travel to the lowest point of the nation, Death Valley National Park<, where you will learn about the tragic and colorful history of this area and visit the Borax Museum. Walk to Zabriskie Point and relax at Furnace Creek Ranch. In the afternoon explore the North part of the Park with a guided tour of Scotty’s Castle. Scotty’s Castle is an amazing sight in this isolated region. Later, see the Ubehebe Crater, created by a volcanic steam eruption. (CB) Day 6: Red Rock Canyon After a full extended continental breakfast you will board your coach for a morning tour to Red Rock Canyon (The Red Rock Mountains of the High Desert ). You will also be touring the residential part of Red Rock. See how the people live and learn about the Indian life and its history. The Rock formation is beautiful as the sun shines on the mountain. After freshening up at your hotel, you will be treated to dinner and a show. (CB, D) Day 7: Las Vegas - Your Way! Enjoy a full extended continental breakfast this morning. Once again, you can enjoy all of the activities of Las Vegas . Check with your Tour Director for suggestions. Visit and try your luck at many of the casinos available to you. If shopping is on your agenda, you will find an upscale mall located on the STRIP. The Stratosphere, located at the end of the STRIP, is a must visit for a breathtaking view of Las Vegas ! Have a cocktail or enjoy dinner on your own while revolving around the city. (Manager’s Reception at the Resort from 5-7 PM) There are optional tours available such as Lake Mead/Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon. (CB) Day 8: Las Vegas - Indianapolis Enjoy a full extended continental breakfast this morning. You will later check out and say goodbye to the glitz, glamour and lights of Las Vegas .
