Following breakfast you will drive north to Serena Mountain Lodge, a tree lodge built on stilts overlooking an illuminated waterhole and salt lick where elephant, buffalo and several species of antelope come to drink. Considered the most spectacular forest waterhole in the Abedares, the lodge's waterhole presents a constant ballet of wildlife. At any time of the day you can spot game in the specially-constructed viewing bunker that is connected to the lodge by a short tunnel. Stay two nights. Samburu Serena Lodge - Samburu (B, L, D)

Day 5: Samburu Game Reserve/ Early Morning Game Drive
The best time to see and photograph the early risers against the back-drop of the mountain before it gets covered by clouds. Return to the lodge for breakfast. The Lodge is cleverly laid out such that most rooms and sitting areas afford stunning views of the Lake and the Park. Spread over acres, the Lodge is a natural haven for bird life and attracts over 50 species of birds amongst the 400 species that inhabit the Park.
