TRAVEL ITINERARY

Day 1: Indianapolis / Boston
Indianapolis flight to Boston, depart Logan Airport on an early-evening transatlantic flight to Italy (via an intermediate stop) with full meal and beverage service, as well as complimentary stereo headsets, available while aloft.

Day 2: Boston / Montecatini
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to our hotel in Montecatini. Enjoy lunch and afternoon at leisure prior to your orientation meeting followed by dinner. Montecatini is conveniently located for touring, offers 5 major spas and every major designer has a boutique in the city. It's a great city to walk after dinner with a beautiful promenade and many cafes. Hotel Manzoni or similar. (L, D)

Day 3: Montecatini / Florence / Montecatini
After breakfast, depart for Florence. On our tour, we will see the stirring sights of Florence including: Giotto's Bell Tower, Ghiberti's Gates of Paradise, and Brunelleschi's Dome. The tour ends in Signoria Square. A light lunch is included with the afternoon at leisure to explore on your own. Florence has great museums like the Academia (home to Michelangelo’s David), and the Uffizzi Gallery. Check out the famed Ponte Vecchio bridge, or the Medici Palace. Return to Montecatini for dinner. Day 4: Montecatini / Lucca / Pisa / Montecatini
After breakfast, we will ride to Lucca, home of Giacomo Puccini, and one of the wealthiest towns in Tuscany. You’ll tour and have leisure time in this graceful city. Return to your hotel for a sit-down lunch. In the afternoon, visit Pisa to explore the Square of Miracles with the Leaning Tower Pisa's Duomo, Baptistery and Camposanto Monumentale. Return to your hotel for dinner. Hotel Manzoni or similar. (BB, L, D)

Day 5: Montecatini / Venice / Montecatini
Depart for Venice. Take a vaporetto to San Marco Square where a guide will show us around "the Queen of the Adriatic." Visit San Marco's Basilica, walk over small bridges to the Bridge of Sighs and past winding waterways to the Rialto. A full luncheon at a local restaurant is included. The remainder of the afternoon is free for shopping, visiting the outlying islands, or a gondola ride. A convenient box dinner will be provided for our return trip to Montecatini. Overnight. Day 6: Montecatini / Siena / Montecatini
After breakfast, drive southwest through the heart of Italian wine country, over the rolling hills of Chianti to Siena. In Siena, visit Piazza del Campo, through the narrow streets, past Medieval towers and walls. A highlight of Siena is San Domenico, which holds relics of St. Catherine. A light lunch is included. On the return to Montecatini, visit San Gimignano, "The most famous small town in Italy." This charming Medieval hilltop town is noted for its many towers and its breathtaking views of the Tuscan landscape. Sample some "vernaccia," the town’s famous wine. Return to Montecatini for dinner. Day 7: Montecatini
This morning, enjoy a guided walking tour of Montecatini. You'll tour a terme, a world renowned health spa center. The full-service spa features all manner of treatments, from mud baths to aromatherapy to waters known for their curative properties. Enjoy lunch at hotel followed by the afternoon at leisure. Day 8: Montecatini
Enjoy a day at leisure where you can explore Montecatini, do individual sightseeing or relax. Montecatini has many cultural opportunities, a golf course, parks, and its own train stop with easy access to Florence and elsewhere. Lunch and dinner are included at the hotel. Day 9: Boston / Indianapolis
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the local airport for your return flight to Boston (intermediate stop). Mid- to late-afternoon return. Evening flight to Indianapolis. (BB)
